Kundurdžiluk Street is located in the heart of the Old Town.

This street dates back to the 19th century, when it was set up as a separate bazaar within Sarajevo’s merchant-trading center in Čaršija, where comb makers (tarakčije) and horseshoe makers (nalčadžije) once had their markets. The street actually takes its name from the cobbling trade, as this is where such items were sold. There was a greater need for shoe manufacturing as the Ottoman Empire began to modernize its army in 1864. While Kundurdžiluk was destroyed in the great fire of 1879, a trace of it still remains in the name of this street.
