Goldsmith's craft originates from silversmith's
craft. Today, goldsmiths are the most
numerous craftsmen in the Bascarsija,
however, it does not mean that they are not in
difficult situation, because jewellery from big
factories abroad are much cheaper. Still, there
are people who appreciate hand-made
jewellery and who know that cheap does not
mean qualitative.
